This policy describes how the SplitSquad Expenses mobile app (“the App”) handles information. The App is designed to help you split group trip costs. By using the App, you agree to this policy.
The App is provided by an independent developer. For questions, use the Support URL or contact options shown on this app’s page in the Apple App Store.
The App stores your trip and expense information locally on your iPhone using Apple’s on-device storage. If you are signed in to iCloud and the App uses iCloud (CloudKit), that same data may sync to your private iCloud account so it stays available across your own devices. We do not operate our own servers for this core data.
Typical information you may enter includes:
If you use “pick from Contacts,” Apple’s system contact picker may be shown. The App does not require blanket access to your address book; you choose a single contact through the system UI.
The App may request access to the camera and photo library only to scan or analyse receipt images you explicitly choose to use. Images are used for your expense records within the App.
To convert currencies, the App may download public exchange-rate data over the internet (for example from frankfurter.app, which publishes European Central Bank reference rates). These requests are for general rate data; they are not used to sell your personal information.
The App does not include third-party advertising SDKs. We do not sell your personal information.
If you use features that open the system Messages app (for example to invite someone), that action uses Apple’s standard sharing flow. Content you send is under your control.
The App is not directed at children under 13. Do not enter personal information about children unless you are their parent or guardian and are comfortable doing so.
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
